Recognition
Matt oversees our Canton office, where he focuses on real estate closings and default work, including foreclosure, dispossessory, and bankruptcy matters. Originally from South Carolina, he moved to Georgia to study at Emory University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2002 and then a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 2005. After graduating from law school, Matt handled real estate closings for five years and creditor rights for the next nine, including foreclosures, evictions, title litigation, and bankruptcy matters for everything from multinational corporations to owner financed loans. He joined Lueder, Larkin, & Hunter in 2019 to combine these practices.
Matt is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and each District Court, the Georgia Real Property Law Section, Trout Unlimited, and ChristChurch Presbyterian. In his free time, Matt likes to be outside with his wife and children, preferably with a line in the water.
